Get to Know Us
Welcome to SENsational ASD & Friends. A community page to promote local and online meet-ups, connections, collaboration and networking for parents, carers and friends of neurodiverse children. As parents of a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), it felt at times, as though navigating the journey after assessments and diagnosis was a path that was overgrown with outdated information. It was at times a solitary road where it seemed everyone else's children were neurotypical. After our SENDCO at school started a coffee morning, we realised there were more like minded parents and carers on our doorstep. Sharing and connecting gave us power in numbers and an amazing soundboard of advice and understanding.

We've created this site to share information and meet ups because it takes a village and sometimes that neurodiverse village can be tucked away out of sight and really tricky to find.
